Defunked email address associated with my Dropbox
I retired two years ago and cancelled the email address associated with my business. This email address was also associated with my dropbox account. I have transferred over all of those files into a new Dropbox account but am unable to delete the old account. This means that when I hit the dropbox icon, it takes me to my old empty Dropbox, not the new one. Help please and thank you.
Problem resolved! I re-installed Dropbox and am all set. Thank you both!

Hi Liza B, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Just clarification, do you want to completely delete the old (and now empty) Dropbox account from the site?
Or, are you looking to sign out of that account on the desktop app, and sign into the new account?
This will help me to assist further!

Thanks for the info. In that case, as it's related to account-sensitive changes, you'll need to login to the Dropbox site with the old email and password in order to delete it yourself. We're unable to delete Dropbox accounts on our end.

I'm unable to log into my old email address as it no longer exists. It was a Gsuite email and once deleted, cannot be restored.
I have a small icon/short cut on my Macbook Pro that sits along the very top tool bar. When I click on that it brings me to my old account. Is there any way to have that bring me to my new account instead? At this point I'm fine with being unable to delete the business account. Thank you!

Hey Liza B - sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that you can un-link the account you'd like to stop using and link your new one through the app's preferences under the Account tab.
Hope this helps!

Thank you Walter. I don't mean to be needy but how do I unlink my old account if I can't access it?
