I've had a security breach and I can't reach out to customer support
Hello,
I noticed some key files were deleted and some logins happen from impossible locations.
I can't figure out how to approach dropbox for support.
What a crappy service, after paying for all these years.

Hey makugx, thanks for bringing this to our attention and sorry to see that you're having this issue.
Here are a few quick things that you can do, and check if your account was compromised.
Also, you can contact Support directly.
Visit this Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for sign in issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.
Once you do, feel free to share your ticket number with me, in order to locate it on our system.
Thanks a bunch!

So how do I know what's going on with the locations showing as logged in on my dropbox that aren't normal? This isn't very helpful. Currently highly compromised. The lack of support after all the money I paid and made you is horrifying. I've been a customer for almost 2 decades

Hi makugx, keep in mind that the country IP geolocation isn't always accurate.
Some IP addresses might be associated with the wrong country. If the country isn't correct, you can check it using any online IP address lookup tool. You can find an IP address lookup tool by doing a simple web search.
Different websites might give you different answers, so I recommend trying a few to get a varied perspective on this.
In any case, if you had trouble reaching our Support team, I can help by reaching out. Are you okay with that?

Yes, I'd like to be patched to them so they can help me analyze where someone else joined from. It's mostly different cities in USA and theres a device I dont recognize.
This shouldn't be. - Walter2 years ago

Hey makugx - sorry to jump in here, but I just followed up via email so that we can have a further look internally.
Whenever you get the chance, please have a look at your inbox and we'll take it from there.

This shouldn't be.Do you have 2FA set up on your account? That would stop any other log ons. And have you done the security checkup?
