Can I back up 8TB of photos on external hard drive?

I currently have a Dropbox account. We are using it for our daily business documents. I would also like to save about 8 TB of photographs on this account. We don't work with these weekly even but I would like them to be backed up. Is there a way I can do this on dropbox without having the hard drive that contains those photographs attached to the computer which is constantly backing up our other files?

I would like to back up the photo drive incrementally perhaps once a month. Is this possible?

Unless you manually connect and disconnect, no it isn't via Dropbox I'm afraid.

Thanks for the reply. I might not have been clear with what I was thinking of doing. If once a month, I simply plug in my external drive will dropbox do an incremental backup of what was in my photos from that external drive? I’ll then disconnect it and put it away for another month Until I want to back up future photos. Will this work?
