Hi there, evanblake1  thanks for reaching out 🤗.

Yes, it can. Dropbox Dash searches the contents of attachments from all your connected apps (like Dropbox, Slack, and Google Drive), so those files surface instantly when you need them ✨ .

To make searches even quicker, you can create a stack. Stacks are smart collections in Dash that let you group files, links, and content from across all of your tools into one place. This way, you can pull all your must have event files into one organised view that’s ready to go on the day of your event 💪.

    I hope this helps,

    T 😺 (Dropbox Community Manager)

You can use Dash to search for people already connected to you, but, Dropbox doesnt have a search tool to find people you are not already connected with. So Dash would find emails/messages etc. linked to them if you install it.

Hi ahmadtakhari , and welcome to the Dropbox Community 👋

From translating your comment, it sounds like you have a question about what exactly Dropbox Dash is. In short, it’s a smart assistant powered by AI that helps you search through and organise all your work. 🧠✨

It connects with your usual work tools and brings everything together in one handy place. With powerful search features, smart insights, and content collections, Dash makes it super simple to find what you need, stay organised, share easily, and keep everything secure. 🔍📁

Check out our latest release video here, it will give you a view Dash works and exactly what it looks like.

Let us know if you have any more questions 👋

Hi KLonn - you can opt out of AI options within Dropbox, and you can see details about that here.

Dropbox Dash itself is a separate AI-powered universal search tool, so let me know if that answers your question?

Any chance we can permanently opt out of all "AI" options?
