Add root level folder Dropbox Business Standard
I use Dropbox Business Standard and am the admin. I have 4 root level folders that I see if I open the Dropbox folder on my computer or at dropbox.com. I want to add a fifth. Can I? On Dropbox.com, the +Create button is greyed out. In Finder in my Dropbox folder on my computer, if I click on File in the menu bar, New Folder is greyed out. If I create a new folder on my desktop and try to drag it into my Dropbox root folder, it bounces back. If I'm already inside one of my Dropbox subfolders, I have no trouble creating new folders there. What is going on?
Hey Rothman and Company, sorry to jump in here.
If you go to the content tab in your admin console, are you able to create a team folder from there?
If you can do it from there, but not the all files page or your main Dropbox folder, you might have the top-level content management setting set to "only admins".
Setting this to "everyone" should allow you to create folders from "all files" and your Dropbox folder.

Hi Rothman and Company, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you trying to create a private folder, shared folder or team folder on your account?
A screenshot of the greyed out Create button on the site would be helpful, along with where you're creating it.
This will help me to assist further!

That worked, thank you. In the circumstances, I left the setting as is, but created the folder I wanted from the Content page.

Hey ramisamo, can you send me a screenshot of the location you're trying to create the folder in?
Also, I'd like a screenshot of the error, so I can investigate further.
Thanks!

Hi ramisamo, you will only be able to create folders on the business account via the admin console. It isn't possible to do so via Explorer.
