Find anything. Protect everything.
Find anything. Protect everything.
You know we love to share updates and news with you, and we are so happy to be able to tell you about how you can find anything, and protect everything with Dropbox Dash for Business.
Keep reading to learn all about how you can make the most of AI universal search, security and permission controls, Stacks and more. And if you don’t believe me, here’s what Drew Houston, co-founder and CEO of Dropbox has to say.
“I first launched Dropbox because we all needed a better way to find and access our content, no matter what platform or apps you use. Today, we’re solving the modern version of that problem: our content is everywhere and it’s hard to find the thing you need to get your work done. Dash is a natural evolution of that for Dropbox, which helps people stay organized, removes friction from their day, and keeps sensitive information protected. We can’t wait for our customers to give it a try.“
Find anything. Protect everything.
Dropbox Dash for Business combines AI universal search and organization with universal content access control. Connect Dash with everyday work apps to create a central hub for all your company’s information. Robust access permission controls guarantee your company’s content is seen only by the right people, both inside and outside Dash. Combined with universal search, AI-powered insights, and content collections, Dash makes it easy to find, organize, share and secure your work.
Powerful search, organization, and sharing
Dash gives teams a better, faster way to locate and manage content that lives across work apps. Universal search helps employees quickly find the content they need within Dropbox and beyond, rather than spending time digging. Dash goes beyond search: summarize documents with a click, instantly generate AI-powered insights, and collaborate with your team using shareable content collections called stacks. With Dash, the information your employees need is at their fingertips.
Complete control over content access
Dash gives companies full command over their content with robust yet easy-to-use access permission controls. Admins can see who has access at the individual document level and update permissions for any amount of assets in seconds. This reduces security risks by making sure employees and external partners see only the right content, and that sensitive company information isn’t surfaced unintentionally.
More features in Dropbox Dash to help customers focus
Dash now includes several updates to features customers already know and love. The start page, which is a single dashboard to access universal search, gets customers shortcuts to recent work, and starts meetings, now features an activity feed that keeps track of work by consolidating document updates into one view. Stacks, which are smart collections that help organize all types of content, can now be made at the company level and have in-depth sharing permissions for both both internal and external viewers. And answers, an AI-powered feature that allows customers to ask questions about their content, helps customers uncover deeper insights by generating follow-up questions, answers, and related content links based on their original search query.
Dash for Business* is available in the US in English only on web and desktop, with availability in additional markets in early 2025.
