I uploaded a folder of 10 GB. In a special box, on the bottom right side of the screen, it shows all is uploaded. But I am waiting for more than an hour now before I get the message that the upload is finished. Is this normal? Shoukd I wait lomger.

  • I finally got the message that the upload was completed. Thanks for your help.

It all depends upon your internet connection. 10gb is a huge amount of data.

The message should appear on that bottom box that its finished uploading. Have you checked the folder/file on another device or tab to see if it has uploaded by going to http://www.dropbox.com/home ?

    Hi T,

My main purpose is: organise all the stuff on my PC and then upload it to Dropbox, so I have it available all the time on my PC, i-Phone and i-Pad.

Next, if possible, I would like to empty my PC's hard drive as much as possible so I have more space available for all of my projects.

As you may have noticed I am trying to get my head around Dropbox. It's not easy for me since a lot of the information I read or watch on videos is accepted as self-evident (hope this makes sense to you). So, if you have tips or even advice, please let me know.

    Kindest regards, Leo.

    Hi Leo lpvmc ,

It sounds like you have a great plan in place to organise your PC and make the most of Dropbox. I recommend joining this Dropbox for Beginners group as there is a constant flow of questions from Dropbox beginners like yourself. There’s an article within the group about spring cleaning your desktop, which provides various tips on freeing up space. It also links to Amy 's amazing article on how to get started with selective sync, which could be really helpful for your needs.

If you have any specific questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
