Altes Dropboxverzeichnis nutzen

Seit einiger Zeit stürzt die Dropbox-App ab. Keine Updates, kein gar nichts, sie fing einfach an am laufenden Band abzustürzen. Also Neustart, Update, Deinstallation und Neuinstallation.   Tja, und...

So, hab das nochmal probiert mit einer Neuinstallation von Dropbox und gleich zu Beginn auf einen Ordner über dem Dropbox Ordner verlinkt. Resultat: Dropbox benennt den alten Ordner um und erstellt einen Neuen. Nun hab ich in den sauren Apfel gebissen und die Daten vom alten in den neuen Ordner verschoben. Selbst wenn die Dropbox-App nun nicht die 3,1 TB an Daten neu synchronisiert, muss sie nun annähernd 100k Dateien neu indexieren und überprüfen.
