✨EDU Customer Support FAQ - Top Reported Inquiries 2025✨
| Q1: Why am I experiencing syncing problems or missing files? |
Sync issues and missing files often relate to connection or app settings. See Troubleshooting sync issues for detailed steps. |
| Q2: How do I manage sharing permissions effectively? |
Managing folder and file access is key to secure collaboration. Visit this Dropbox resource center to learn how to share files and folders, set access permissions, and more. |
| Q3: What should I do if I can’t access my account or face login issues? |
If your team account is set up to require SSO or Multifactor Authentication, please contact your Dropbox team admin for troubleshooting. If SSO or Multifactor Authentication is not required and you have forgotten your password, follow the steps outlined here to reset your password. |
| Q4: What is the difference between a shared folder and a team folder? |
Team folder: Members of Dropbox team accounts can use team folders to share content with their team. Content stored within a team folder is owned by the team. Shared folder: All users can create and share these folders with an individual or group of people. You can make any folder a shared folder by sharing it. |
| Q5: How can I recover deleted files or folders? |
Deleted files can often be restored within 180 days (for those on Dropbox Professional, Essential, Standard and Business accounts) or 365 days (for those on Advanced, Business Plus, and Enterprise accounts). Follow Recover Missing Files for recovery instructions. |
| Q6: Who do I contact for support if I encounter technical glitches or performance issues? |
For technical help, reach out to your Dropbox team admin so that a support ticket can be filed. Additional escalation will be placed on the support ticket by the Dropbox account team if applicable. |
