As Rich stated, there isn't a great way to ensure a full path is accurate across devices.
That said, in the iOS app there is a way to see the folder hierarchy for the folder you're currently viewing. Inside any folder, tap and hold on the back button in the top nav bar, and a list of all the folders up to the root Dropbox folder will be displayed.
As long as you know where your Dropbox folder is located on a given device, this should help identify the location of files or folders within.
