Can't open Office docs in my Vault both on web and desktop

Can't open Office docs in my Vault both on web and desktop

Marlene
Explorer | Level 4

Hi there,

I can't open my word and excel files that are in the data vault, neither in web nor in explorer (Win11).

Web:

Word: does not accept the (correct!) PW

Excel: 'oops, something went wrong...'.

both: when I download the files to harddisc on Computer, it works.

Is that right, that files from data vault have to be downloaded to disk first before opening???

Explorer:

after entering the 6-digit code I am in the data vault, but I can't open a single file.

Why does the explorer not allow this?

Thank you so much for help!

Hey @Marlene , sorry to see you're having this issue.

For Vault on the website, can you try from a different browser or a private browsing window, to see if you get a different behavior?

As for the desktop, are you getting any error messages when you try to open the files?

Does it only happen with MS Office files or other file types as well?

Let me know and we'll go from there.
