Hi Jane, I unlinked my account, I deinstalled the app, I moved the folder, I started with brandnew folder, checked the DropboxExtnn entries, all of it several times with no success.
The Dropboxfolder contains nearly 700GB. I'll give up now and will live with no icons. What makes me still wonder is that the icons are shown in COMDLG32 dialogs.
thanks

Thanks a lot for looping back to me & for the detailed message on the troubleshooting youâve already tried on your own Andreas (Andreas_HH)!Iâm wondering if youâve had a chance to check back on gaganyâs advice above, that could of assistance on this behavior. As youâre working on a on Windows device, please note that Windows has a limit of 15 overlay icons that Windows Explorer can load, and the operating system reserves 4 for its own use. If there are more than 15, then Dropbox's icons or context menus may not show.Information on how to check the number of icons and steps on how to resolve this issue can be found in the following Help Center article under the "For our advanced users" section here. (Note: Itâs the one gagany had linked above.)If this persists, I'd appreciate a screenshot (omitting personal info) of what youâre seeing in your files on the Windows Explorer & on the âSave As/ Openâ dialogue boxes in next message here, so as to get a better idea of whatâs happening. Thanks again for your cooperation & Iâll be awaiting your next reply, in order to work together on a fix!- Andreas_HH8 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Hi Jane, the screenshots show, that only Open/Save as dialogs of Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) display the icons. e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop Open dialogs doesn't display the icons.
I declared it for me as a low prio problem. So I will not care about it anymore.
Thx
Andreas
