MacOS Dropbox update

MacOS Dropbox update

I am also finding the upgrade for MacOS a complete disaster.  I have 2TB of data, much of it valuable, customer and client related plus in-house specialised software.  All my side bar folder organisation was wiped.  I rely on files being available offline and use Time Machine plus another external hard drive to backup.  Now it is a complete mess.  I have right clicked Dropbox folder to set all files to "make available offline" and nothing has happened!!  This is serious for me.  I have automatic backups set from external services to deposit many GB of critical data to my hard drive daily.  In two days, that data has not arrived.

Is there a way to revert back to the old system?

This is something Apple has done, not Dropbox. It is them who said how it has to work.

There is also no rollback method 😞

If you set all to offline they should download for you

Further to my frustrated message.  After 2 days of the computer working at the files, they all came back to being offline.  MacOS first decided to index all the files and then slowly and painfully restore all of them to Offline as I had set.  Now I am happy!  The downloads from other parts of the internet worked as well.  It just took time.  I think the reason that the default is to make all the files online maybe to allow the indexing to happen - although that idea doesn't make much sense....
