System tray icon is missing for remote desktop on Ubuntu 22.04

I'm running DropBox on Ubuntu 22.04 and using xrdp to remote desktop into this Ubuntu workstation. The DropBox system tray icon does not appear in my remote desktop session, but it does appear when I login physically to the system. Is there any way to get the DropBox system tray icon to appear for a remote desktop session?

Thanks!

Hi @freetinker,

If you have run Dropbox application within the same desktop session there is no reason Dropbox tray icon to be missing. Otherwise, while Dropbox application runs on an other session (terminal or graphical) icon is not going to appear. The same is valid for all singletion applications.

To appears on current session you have to stop already running instance and start the application anew within the current session.

Hope this helps.
