Dear All,
Something really strange has happened. I created a folder and shared it with a colleague. The next day I cannot find the folder. I have the link, but when I click on it, it says the folder does not exist any more. There is no way I had deleted it as I do not remember and I created it only yesterday.
Could you please help me understand what might have happened?
Thanks a lot,
Sofia
Hey @SofiaBr, thanks reaching out to us and sorry to see that your folder is missing.
Are you able to see anything about the folder in your events page?
Or does it appear in your shared tab here?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Dear Hannah,
Thank you so much. There is nothing about the folder in the event page. It is also not in the tab you indicated. It is really bizarre.
I had shared it with a colleague, he saw it on the first day, but then the link was broken the next day and I cannot find the folder any more - it is nowhere to be found.
Is it possible that he had deleted it without wanting it? He said he did not though.
Thanks in advance,
Best,
Sofia
Hi @SofiaBr, are you certain that this was a shared folder that you created?
Are there any events showing that your access was removed from the folder?

Yes, thank you. It was shared and there is no track record of anything to be done with respect to the folder, which makes it even spookier. I can share the link with you in private if you wish so, if you indicate to me how to do it. thank you
So, did you create a shared link to a folder, or did you create a shared folder? The steps differ for each one.
How exactly did you then share it to your colleague? Were they able to open the folder in their Dropbox account, or was it only accessible via the site?
