Business Dropbox account not seeing my files

Business Dropbox account not seeing my files

Hello:

My company has a Dropbox account that each employee has access to. I add files to the account but supervisors on the other end say they do not see the files. I'm not sure if I have a setting wrong or if it's a problem on their end?  I add the files directly to the Dropbox account as we all have the pw for that account. I appreciate any input on the matter.

Hi @parkerjimla 

 

First off I strongly suggest you urgently get your team to look at the way you are using Dropbox - as sharing 1 password and 1 account between multiple people is against Dropbox terms of service and could result in your account being banned. Note that banned accounts are permanently removed and any data on the account lost without possibility of recovery. 

 

In terms of your issue if you are using one account and you are uploading to that I suspect user error so ask staff for help in knowing how to upload, BUT as I said - please set up individual accounts immediately.

I think I misspoke about the PW thing. We each share to the acct but I have my own dropbox acct. I will check to see what's happening with my uploaded docs. Thanks for the help.

Hey @parkerjimla, welcome to our Community! 

 

Do you happen to be part of a Business team, by any chance? Also, do you use the app, or the website when trying to upload content? 

 

Let me know where you're uploading content. Do you use a shared folder, shared link or something different?
