Can the other member of a folder access a file I deleted?

Hello,

I uploaded a file under a shared folder by mistake.
I’m not the owner of the shared folder but I can edit it,I was able to delete the file permanently.

Would the other member be able to view the file or have access to it after I deleted it ?

Hey @Ggg123, thanks for posting your question today.

If you were able to permanently delete the file, then the other member of the folder won't be able to access it.

If it was simply deleted, they would have been able to restore it, but if it's permanently deleted, they cannot.

I’m new to Dropbox so I just want to confirm if it was simply deleted I would be able to still find it in trash?

If it was simply deleted, it would appear in your deleted files page and it would be recoverable.
