Difficulty sharing Paper docs in Dropbox folders

Difficulty sharing Paper docs in Dropbox folders

I'm using Paper to collaborate with two other people. We each have separate Dropbox accounts. We have a shared Dropbox folder with sub-folders which we already use for other documents.

The problem is that when I create a Paper and move it into our shared Dropbox folder, it doesn't seem to appear in the folder for my collaborators.

To share it with them I seem to have to create a public link and send that to them.

Can some please explain how Papers work in shared folders?

(Can't work out what version of Paper we are using, but we all started using Papers in the second half of 2022)

Thanks

Hey @ojl, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

So, this might be happening, if you and your collaborators are on different versions of Dropbox Paper.

To test this, you can all go to the "all files" page on dropbox.com and click on Create > Document.

If "Dropbox Paper" is one of the options that appear there for you, but not for your collaborators, it means that you're on the newer version of Paper, but they're not.

If that's the case, they don't have the option to store Paper docs in folders yet, so you'll have to keep sharing the docs, the way you have been so far.

I hope this helps clarify things, but let me know if you have any questions.
