Someone shared a bunch of documents with me, my email address. The email address is correct. I received the email saying:
Add my member folder (Link)
Preview this Folder (Link)
Enjoy!
The Dropbox team
When I click on the "Add my member folder link, it takes me to a page that says Request Access.
MyEmailAddress# was given access, but you’re signed in as MyEmailAddress.
This makes no sense. They used the correct email address. I am signed in as that email address, but says I am not.
What's going on?
Hi @jtpdev79, let's jump into this!
In your message, member folder was mentioned, which makes me believe that the shared content is coming from a Business team, right?
If you access your Dropbox settings online, do you see the same email, and account name used there? If the name is different, that could indicate a different Dropbox account altogether.
Also, what type of plan do you use on your end? Have you also tried to request access to said folder?
Let me know more!
