Hi,
I use Dropbox Sync to backup my PC files. I know it's not intended for backuping files and I'm aware there's a Dropbox Backup option.
So I'm thinking of saying goodbye to sync and backing up all files with the backup option as it is intended.
But I want to know a few things before I change everything:
1) What happens when I delete or rename a file in my PC drive Dropbox BACKUP folder? Will it also be deleted/renamed on Dropbox Backup?
2) How good is the backup function? I read that some people find this feature fairly confusing. Source: https://askleo.com/back-up-with-dropbox/
Hey @jeroenws, thanks for posting your question today.
When you edit/delete files in the folders that you back up to Dropbox, the changes are backed up as well.
If you're not sure about using the feature, I would suggest testing it out with one of the folders first, just to see how it works.
You can choose which folders to back up during the setup process.
You can read more about the feature and how to enable it here.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
