Unable to upload photos into Dropbox paper

Hi, 

 

I hope someone is able to help. I am struggling to upload photos into Dropbox paper from my 2021 iPad Pro gen 3. Latest software on all. Tried normal install and uninstall. The same applies to trying to insert the photo in the browser.

Photos can be selected to insert, but then won’t insert it into the document.

Hey @Mani R, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

 

May I ask if this happens with single files or multiple ones? What is the size of the file(s) you're trying to upload?

 

Apart from that, could you please clarify if you've tried doing this via the Dropbox mobile app or the Dropbox Paper app instead?

 

Also, since you used a web browser to try this as well, could you try clearing your browser's cache or using another browser and let me know how it goes?

Not OP but I'm having the same exact issue on iOS & iPad OS.

 

- Happens with single photos.  multiple (selected) photos from the photo picker are not allowed. Try it for yourself on iPadOS 🙂

 

- Dropbox Paper app. Attempting to add simple photos from my camera roll into a Paper document (trying to collab a film shoot with friends)

 

- Version is latest from the app store. Deleted and reinstalled fresh today.

Just to make sure I understand correctly; are you unable to upload multiple photos to your Dropbox papers just via the Paper app, or via the website, as well?

 

Are you receiving any type of errors when uploading single photos via the Paper app?

Nancy - we are unable to upload ANY photos to Paper from the mobile app via the selector modal.

If using the app with the camera modal, it works fine.

If pasting a photo (copy --> paste) on mobile, into Dropbox Paper app, it also works fine.

If using the web browser, it also works fine.

The only issue is attempting to use the Paper app and select a photo from the camera roll to insert.

Failure mode is silent. No error messages. The modal is dismissed as if the photo were going to upload, but never does.

Have attempted multiple iPads and multiple photos from the camera roll.

If the product team has any questions, I'm happy to screenshare on a call!

Hi @Dive-Dive-Dive, sorry to jump in here, but what is the OS that's currently installed on your iPad? 

 

Also, I know you said that it silently fails, but can you attach some screenshots of the steps you follow, in order for us to have visual too?

Dropbox Paper app is version latest

I have a screencast to share, however this form isn't letting me insert a video. Please have the product team reach out to me for the video, or tell me how to post the video here from mobile.

@Hannah  - From my desktop, I have attempted to reply twice now with my video, but each time I am getting an error that my post has been deleted.

 

This is exceedingly frustrating.  I do not wish to type out the steps. I have a very clear video.
