Delete more than 1000 at a time

Hi, I am trying to set up a website and am using Dropbox very successfully with Photo Finish but have hit a snag whereby I need to delete 5500 images I have just used and no longer need.  However, when I hover over the delete button having ticked the files in bulk, a message comes up to advise I cannot delete more than 1000 images at once,  Is there a way around this please?  I did the online chat but no success.  Can anyone help and advise please?  I still have over 40000 items to go!!  Many thanks in advance  J

Hi JaniceH, thanks for added info, and sorry for any confusion this might have caused.

I checked with our Team, and it seems there is indeed a 1K file limitation when trying to delete content.

I'd recommend, if you wish, that you take some time to post on our Share an idea section of the Community, in order to suggest this feature request. That way others can also upvote it, and our developers can consider this change.

    I hope this clarifies!

Hey there JaniceH, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Can you clarify if you're doing this from the website directly or if you're using the desktop app and doing this via your Dropbox folder locally on your computer?

A screenshot of the error you're getting would also help, so feel free to include one in your response.

    Thanks!

Good morning, Dropbox website, Dropbox locally on my computer and “Delete cannot be performed. Maximum number of items exceeded (1000).
Please deselect some items before trying again.”
I have 1469 images now… manually deleted over 3000 last night!!!
Need to do this all again and again for about 10 suppliers and 40000 odd images. I am using my personal basic free plan, fyi Thanks J

Hey JaniceH, sorry to jump in here!

I know that by now, you might have already erased the content, but if you haven't could you send us a screenshot of the error you get when trying to delete more than 1K files, please?

Hello, I was having the same issue and realized I could do a search to return a subset of files close to but not exceeding 1000 and select them all - it doesn't mean you can delete 30,000 at once but it makes it much easier to select a decent batch of them.
