How to delete Dropbox folder from an old workplace I no longer work with?

I have a shared dropbox folder on my Mac from an old workplace I'm no longer at. I no longer have access to that email address so I'm not sure why it's still on my computer or how to remove it. I moved the folder to the trash and tried to delete and it gave me an error message that the files cannot be read. I'm not sure what the red icon means either.

Help appreciated! Thank you.

Hi @janettew, let's jump right into this!

Is the Dropbox desktop app installed and running on your Mac at the time of the deletion? Can you also clarify the precise error message you get on your end, when trying to delete the folder?

As for the red icon, it seems this isn't coming directly from our end, since this isn't an official Dropbox icon. However, I did some re-search and it might be related with Apple, and the permissions you have in the folder.

Keep me posted!
