Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Hi Dropbox,
I've deleted my backed up files on Dropbox and it seems to be permanent.
I wasn't sure how Dropbox work and I backed up all my files on the system using my personal computer but since it was connected to the Work Dropbox Server, I deleted all of them as it contain my personal documents. Could I please request to retrieve them as there was more than 450GB of files and I'm very desperate.
I have a business advanced account.
Thank you.
Regards,
Caleb
Hi @retrieverim, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Have you tried checking the events page or deleted files page to locate the missing files on the Dropbox site?
Keep me updated with any progress!

Yes I have looked through it and there's nothing.
Do you see any deleted computer backups on the site?

No
Hi @retrieverim, since you're using a Business plan, I'd suggest that you contact our Support team directly.
I'm suggesting that, since they'd be able to look into this with you, while having some more account-specific info (such as specific file names) that we don't have.
Feel free to reach back to me, and let me know your ticket number, if you contact them.

I get this error message and the screen freezes when I try to Submit a Help Request under File Recovery. Thank you.
You would need to enter an event link in order for the submission to go through. Since there aren't any event links for the missing files.
You could try using another event link for a different file on the events page in order for the support ticket to go through.

Hi I've entered a valid link with files but it still shows the same issue.
Hey Caleb!
The event link in question will need to be under this format https://www.dropbox.com/event_details/####/####/#####/.
In order to locate this, you can go to your Events page and click on an event showing on the list. After this, you can copy paste the unique URL to the ticket you’re creating.
When you’ve submitted the ticket, you should also receive a ticket number to your email address, so please forward this to us.
Hope this helps.
