Loss of pictures during transfer

Used dropbox to transfer pics from old desktop to laptop. Only folders got transferred with no pictures in them and pictures are gone, Cant find them. Want to cry. Anyone knows how to recover them ?

Did you give them time to upload? Dropbox sync's folders first and then populates with files.

Have you checked they uploaded in to the transfer by size etc.?

If they didnt download correctly then you'll need to resend from old machine

its been few hours. Old machine doesnt have pics either. IDk where they went

Dropbox transfer doesnt move files, so, they should be exactly where you left them.

Have you done a search for the files?

How exactly are you moving these? Can you give some more info? What steps did you take?
