I accidentally locked a shared folder on my android tablet.  How can I unlock it?

Hey @Dtry, sorry to hear about this.

 

Can you please clarify how you locked the folder in the first place? Are you getting any errors for example or you're just seeing a lock on the folder?

 

If you could send me a screenshot of what's bothering you, I might be able to assist further.

Hi Walter. I have removed the file now hoping the sender can send a new one. I made an edit on a shared document (a walkers programme) when I had finished I noticed a symbol of a lock on the bottom right of the screen. For some silly reason I clicked it and it closed the lock.

I locked the screen myself with the blue padlock that appeared at the bottom right of the screen. It doesn't show now. The 1st screen is the diary I want to edit. I press the "open with" button and select word. The 2nd screen is what I get.....this is another file that was sent at the same time. The sender sent the diary and the risk assessment. It was the diary I locked never to see again!!

You should be able to upload a screenshot through the camera icon within your reply's box @Dtry 

 

As for the files you can't see now,  are you able to navigate to the shared folder on our website and let me know if you can see the file there?

I cannot see camera icon. Remember I am on smartphone. Re the files I can see them but I cannot see the diary one when I navigate to word to edit it. It opens up as another file then!

Hey @Dtry, sorry to jump in here. 

 

File locking is a feature available to our Professional and Business users and can only be done through our website or our desktop app.

 

I'm assuming you locked it some other way.

 

Is this a Word document? Does the info here help you unlock it?
