notice of file deletion

I received an email that some 2700 files were deleted. I’m the only member who has admin permissions for file deletion and I didn’t delete these files (they were not even in a shared folder).  I can and did restore the files but this begs the question why this happened to begin with. What else is occurring in the background that I might not know about? I can’t be losing important business files at their whim of an AI bot.

Hi there @g-e-c, thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community.

You should be able to see more information about the deletions you mentioned in your events page. If you find the deletion event in question, you'd be able to find out more about what happened and which user or device initiated the deletion.

If you have restored all of the deleted files now, you can try looking at the version history of one of those files to learn more about the deletion event.

I hope this helps to some extent.
