After unsyncing in my macbook, all the unsynced files are gone in my computer and in DropBox.

I have a basic DropBox package and the storage was almost full, and it complained. So I unsynced my Desktop folder in my macbook to save some space. (Maybe it gave me a warning that all the files would be deleted, but all is blurry right now.) Then all the files remained intact, except one folder. In my desktop, a new "untitled folder" was created and all the folders I need were there. But every folder contains "untitled folder", and there are no files in any folders.

I tried to retrieve the files by following the guidelines DropBox suggested, but the original files in the original folders never show up,

and "untitled" folders remain with noting in them. Is there any hope that I can retrieve the original files? Thank you.

Hi @jgchay, thanks for messaging today!

Do you recall if you enabled the computer backup feature on your device? Could you first try disabling the computer backup from Dropbox using the steps in the above article to see if this helps?

Afterwards, you can move the folders and files back to their previous locations, which will also delete them from the Dropbox account online.

If there are any deleted files, try recovering them from the Dropbox site.

Keep me updated with any progress!
