How can I share with view access and restrict syncing to the desktop?

We have several external consultants that need access to a team folder. We want them to have the ability to view the team folder via the web portal but not be able to sync to their desktop.  Is there a way to prohibit use of the desktop app or its ability to sync for certain users?

Re: Restrict Desktop Sync

Hey there @Ovonel, I hope you're having a good start to the week so far!

If you need to share a folder with view only access and prevent the folder being synced to their computer through the desktop, then you would need to share via a shared link.

This would be the only way to assure that they only access the folder via the website. If you need to, you can also prevent downloading of the files with the steps outlined here.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!
