10€/ month is a total no go for me. and by the way I do not need 1TB. at least not now.
But give me 1/10 for 1/10 and I would sign up in a heartbeat.
The argument that they lost money because people downgraded. In my view that just emphasize that the pricing scheme is wrong. Some people have bought in for 1TB because that is the only next step. That also indicates that some of the paying subscribers are paying for something the really do not need but had no other option. That is not a good way to treat your customers. Because this means that the second somebody else comes with a better offer. Your customers are gone. and unhappy customers doesn't come back. Even if you try lowering the price at that point then it will be too little too late. I like dropbox have been using it for a long time now. But I am looking for alternatives simply because my cloud storage requirement is more than the 13GB I have now. but way below 1TB. I would really like an option where I can increase storage and price gradually as I need it. Cloud storage is a competitive space. It is about trust, price, availability and features. Microsoft, Google and Apple are on their way. So Dropbox you need to be more competitive or offer other features that people want to pay for. Right now I only use dropbox because of sharing. And I struggle with limited space and 10€ a month is not an option. I have cloud space with the three companies mentioned, but non of them are good or trustworthy enough yet. Every new release they send out they are getting closer. They all have someting that Dropbox does not have. An eco-system around their cloud. Dropbox try with photos. Well I find that feature annoying because it use the limited space I have. and I already have my photos elsewhere. Dropbox you need to come up with something or I believe you will loose the upcoming battle. You have a lot of customers now because you where among the first. Well surprise first is not enough anymore.

I have a free Dropbox account which is almost full, but I'm not in a position to take out a monthly subscription. Please can Dropbox add the facility to purchase additional storage on a one-off basis?

I would also like to see pricing options for no space increase but usage on more than 3 devices.  I was a very early adopter of Dropbox getting friends and family to use it long before the current pricing structure.  I did the scavenger hunts for more free space, but I want to use it on 4 different systems, it's frustrating.

I currently have the Dropbox Plus plan which has all of the features I need.  However, I would like the flexibility to add more storage to my existing plan as needed.  That is, it would be great if you decoupled the amount of storage from the different plans and instead, the plans determine the feature set you need but for each of the plans, you can add storage as needed (e.g. Dropbox Plus with 3 or 4 TB of storage if that was what I needed).  It would be great to be able to add storage in reasonable increments (e.g. 250 GB).  Having this ability would greatly improve the Dropbox offerings and give your customers the flexibility we greatly need in terms of incremental storage increases.  Thanks.

I'm currently using a 2Tb personal plan but I'd like to increment my storage.  The next level of storage is the 3Tb (Professional) plan which contains great features which I don't really need and comes with a significant price increase.  I would like to see flexible / incremental tarrifs with incremental storage capacities.

I'm finding that my storage (home videos, picture, etc) are pushing the limits of my individual plan, and I'd like to buy more storage. I don't need the pro features - I just need space. I'd be willing to buy a family plan so my wife and I don't share a login, but the 2TB limit is no better than what we have.

Why not offer per-TB storage options like Google and Apple? It'd be a great idea - at least it would be for me.

Hello,

I recommend Dropbox allow for one-time purchases of permanent additional GB of space for free plans (not paid plans), instead of only the yearly 2000 GB for $120/yr. Even a permanent additional 10 GB would make all the difference in my work, which is a small fraction of 2000 GB. Might I suggest adding that option at whatever price you feel is fair? (For example, $50 for 25 GB, or $100 for 50 GB, etc.)

Thanks!

As device storage gets larger, more space will be required by individual users. The 3 TB option is smaller than my hard drive making it impossible to sync my computer to dropbox for backup. The only option customer support gave was to upgrade to a 3 user plan. As an individual I need 4 TB. Paying 3 times the amount for a 3 user licence for one extra TB of extra space is not viable. The ability to add storage space to a plan would be ideal.

It would be nice if plans had option to choose amount of space, for example:
- Professional Plan with 3 / 6 / 10 TB,
- Plus Plan with 2 / 4 / 6 TB etc.
(Amount of space and pricing is up to you, these values are just examples.)

I am suggesting this because it seems the only option to get more space is to buy next plan. So if I have Professional Plan, I have to buy Standard Plan to get more space. I am a single user though and I don't need Standard Plan with 3+ users.

If feature I mentioned was available I could upgrade from 3 TB to 6 TB or 10 TB. I am also more likely to buy a plan with more space for a single user than a plan with more users.

If this idea was suggested already - I'm sorry for duplicating it.

I AM A SINGLE USER COMPANY AND DO LASER SCANNING OF BUILDINGS ETC. SO MY FILES ARE QUITE LARGE, 50GB TO 100GB EACH JOB. I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO BUY UNLIMITED STORAGE SPACE WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR ADDITIONAL TEAM MEMBERS AS I HAVE NO TEAM MEMBERS.

I have to say dropbox service is excellent , and can not compare with One Drive or even Google drive , only problem  Dropbox start from 2TB with monthly payment of USD 137 OR USD 14 PER MONTH + -  .

In third world countries such as SouthAfrica with monthly fee of USD 14 we can get 5 lunch from Mac Donald  !!!!

You may offer 100GB with less then 2 USD per month as one of your option then see million of new customer will move to Dropbox .

2TB is too big and 14USD is too much for us in this part of the world .

Just think about it
