Show number of files in a folder

While in a folder, it would be helpful to see how many files are in that folder.

That comment is useless without a link to the specific idea to be voted on.

Hello,

In Windows Navigator, there is a status bar that contains number of items.

Dropbox UI is a File Navigator and should display number of items in a Folder.

Lets say, I have a team placing a file for each unit of work in a folder.

I should be able to look at the folder and see the number of items in it.

Thank You for consideration.

There are all kind of reasons to reconcile number of files against offline reference source, expected uploaded files, as an indicator for taking action, as a confirmation that files have actually uploaded, especially when using file requests, which do omit duplicates and show received numbers, but not actual files put into a folder.

Replicating or linking Dropbox as a folder on a PC is not an option, when

a) Dropbox exceeds the available space on a hard drive

b) One has more than two Dropbox accounts

c) has two Dropbox accounts but cannot link the two together

In my opinion this is much needed baseline functionality. Please implement.
