I've got Dropbox Passwords working just fine on my personal Mac and my iOS and Android devices. For some reason, the installer doesn't work on my work W10 computer, it just says "This .appinstaller file is using a new schema which is not valid on this OS version. Please update to the latest version of Windows 10."
My work computer is fully updated (required by my employer) and I have the permissions necessary to install whatever I want on it. I haven't had this issue with any other software package. This is a huge pain because I've already migrated all my information off of Remembear and replaced all my passwords with secure randomly generated ones (16+ characters, lots of symbols, etc.)
Please resolve this issue, or I'm going to have to go back to Remembear simply because of the interoperability issue. And add credit cards, please.
Hi @jzhao, thanks for posting today!
I'm sorry to hear about this matter. I'd recommend getting in contact with the support team for further information so that they can investigate this in more detail.
They should be able to assist from there on. Hope this helps!

I have the exact same problem with my work laptop!
Hi there @gruffly; sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you please let me know if there are any pending updates for your laptop's OS?
In that case, could you install them, reboot your device and try to install our Passwords app again?

There was a pending update, but then I updated to the latest version and the problem persists now with no pending updates.
Out of curiosity, is it possible that your device is currently in Windows S mode, @gruffly?
If so, can you try switching out of this mode to see if that does the trick?

Hi Daphne,
It's not in 'S' mode, but still running 1803 which I'm guessing is the problem, considering the error message:
"This .appinstaller file is using a new schema which is not valid on this OS version. Please update to the latest version of Windows 10."
I can't update past 1803 so I'm guessing it's a policy restriction preventing me from upgrading further. What version of Windows 10 does the installer require?
Hey @gruffy, you need Windows 10 (with the Fall Creators update) or higher to run the Passwords desktop app.
If you get any error messages, could you send us a screenshot (without any personal info) of it?
