Time to get organized

Time to get organized

Amy
Community Manager
It might be getting a little colder and a little darker, but it’s the perfect time to reset those resolutions we tried out this January, the time for good habits to start again. Now is the perfect time to get organized, and where better to start than your online life?

Keeping everyone on the same page:
Whether it’s keeping all the kids’ schedules straight, organising bills and chores with roommates or planning upcoming events with friends and family, it’s always good to have a central place to keep everyone in sync.
Dropbox Paper is perfect for group to-do lists - you can list the activities, dates and tag whoever needs to know about it. There are a ton of useful features in Dropbox Paper you can learn about here, but getting everyone in your house or group on the same page is a big win on it’s own.

Storing important documents:
There are some things that you know you have to keep really safe - diplomas, birth certificates, passports. As well as keeping the physical copies safe, you should also keep a digital copy safe, just in case. Don’t find yourself saying ‘I know I should have backed it up, but I never got around to it’, now is the time to do it.
Dropbox Vault is like a virtual safe deposit box, with a PIN for secure access. Not only is there an extra layer of security, designated trusted friends or family members can access your files in an emergency. You can even scan those documents with the Dropbox Scanner app.

Backing up your files regularly:
Along the lines of backing up important things, we would suggest you book in a time to back up your computer regularly… or you could just turn on computer backup. Once you turn on the computer backup feature, you can automatically back up folders on your PC or Mac, including your Desktop, Downloads, and Documents, directly into your Dropbox folder. Files and folders are continuously synced between the cloud and your hard drive and accessible from anywhere. Take the work out of good habits!

Now, we can’t help you with getting everyone up early enough, or sticking to a healthy lunch habit but we can make it easier to get organized.
