Camera Upload - can I select by folder/albums?

Camera upload seem to sync all my images from my phone (andriod). However, I only wanted to sync those photos from my camera roll but not those from certain other sources...for example whatsapp, etc. Is this possible?

Hello @gwm303 - welcome to the Dropbox Community and happy Monday!

The automatic camera upload feature uploads all photos and videos from the "Camera" and "Screenshots" albums on your device. You cannot choose which specific folder(s) the feature uploads from.

One way to tackle this would be to manually upload the files you'd like from your mobile device's camera roll by using the (+) button within our mobile app.

The other way would require you to move your WhatsApp's folder outside your mobile's camera roll (you can find ways to do this on the web if needed).

I hope this helps and please keep me posted on your progress!

Hi Walter

When will dropbox add the feature to select multiple folders for photo upload? From the link below the feature was requested four years ago. The below link has seven pages of discussion and the question is posted on several forums, hence your customers are requesting the feature.

Can you please answer in this forum whether dropbox, after four years, have the feature in the development pipeline or not?
