Using DB to synch Password Vaults

Using DB to synch Password Vaults

I have a Android phone (ver. 9). I use a password vault that depends on its database file being synchronized between PC desktop and my cell phone. On a previous cell phone, this arrangement worked very well. Now with my new Pixel 7 pro phone, it is not working. I suspect it is because my cell phone version of DropBox is not syncing correctly. I would like the DB to automatically synch every time I open or close the cell phone. But I suspect it is not happening. I don't know how to determine if I am looking at the latest DB contents on my cell phone. I also do not know how to force a synch.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi @CarnahanT, thanks for messaging the Community!

Could you clarify exactly how the file was being synced via the mobile device?

Was the file being edited via the Dropbox mobile app, or via another method or app?

This will help me to assist further!

Jay, the KeePass (password vault) app writes to an encrypted database file that is being backed up in the Drop Box cloud. The KeepPass database file resides within DropBox on the Cell phone AND within Dropbox on the PC. Data changed on phone or Desktop should synch to the other platform. I suspect it is not but am not sure how to be certain if it is synched OR how to force it to synch.

Hey @CarnahanT, sorry to jump in.

If the database gets updated from your desktop, can you check if the changes also appear on the file on your mobile device?
