Will we be able to open imported Google spreadsheets after the Microsoft changeover?

I'm trying to confirm if when the microsft /google drive changeover occurs, if we still with microsoft will people be unable to open and spreadsheets  that we originally imported as google sheets or will it automatically convert those for them.

When you imported the Google Sheets files, what format are they in? The file extension in question will determine how the file will open.

.xlsx format

Since they are formatted in Excel, they should be able to be opened and edited using the online Microsoft editor without any issues.
