I only have 2 devices but I reached the device limit, why is that?

I’ve had a basic account for years. I recently upgraded my laptop (old one is gone), and lost, then replaced my phone. Now I was unable to get Dropbox to work on my phone. I uninstalled and then downloaded the app, which says that I’ve reached my device limit and will need to get a paid plan. I think my replacement phone is counted against me.

I only have 2 devices, my current laptop and phone. I've never had more than two at one time. I have very limited needs and I’d like to clear out all other devices and continue with my basic plan. Can you help me?

You can delete / unlink old devices from www.dropbox.com/account . Click on security and then you should see all devices listed

When I look up the devices that are linked to my account, there are 2 that are the same but have different names. So it appears that I have 4 devices, but there aren't more than 3, unless one of the accounts is on an old computer that has died.

When I log in I see the device limit/upgrade pop-up and can’t get past it to view my account and delete old devices.
