Re: Dropbox saying full

Dropbox saying full

I deleted Dropbox backup on my machine. It looked as if if I had plenty of storage on the online Dropbox so I quit the expensive program and went for the free. But a few weeks later, I got a message that I was near my quota.

I went in and deleted several folders of videos and photos, but it's not moving the needle on how much storage I'm using. What's up, Dropbox?

Hi there @cristacrista, sorry to hear about this.

Can you please let us know what exactly is reported in your plan tab in regards to your quota?

Do you see any files or folders taking up space in your homepage or your backups page perhaps?

Let us know what you find!

Thanks for your reply!

My plan page says I am using 139.9 GB of 2.27 GB, which makes no sense.

On my homepage the bar is deep red, like it's so full it's going to explode. But on my plan page, the graphic looks like I am barely using anything.

I can confirm that my laptop is not attached.

Hey @cristacrista, sorry to jump in here.

I would definitely suggest going to your "all files" page and following the steps here, to view the size of your files and calculate the size of your folders, to see if you can find which ones are taking up so much space.

I hope this helps!
