I've never used dropbox and now it says its full and need to upgrade

I've never used dropbox and now it says its full and need to upgrade. So i presume the app came with my new laptop, last year. Now that i need it for uni its says its full, but there is no content anywhere. HELP!

Oh gosh. Ok I see it now. I has backed up an external hard drive! Random. So If I delete this files will empty up space to use Dropbox again? Sorry seems silly questions. Just never used the app before. And thank you for your help!!

That's right, you can disable your external drive backup, and this will delete it from the account, freeing up the space.

This won't affect the actual external drive connected to your computer.
