Out of storage space. Why?

Out of storage space. Why?

I deleted all my files, folders, shared folders, everything...including the 'deleted files'. My dropbox is not being shared. And 0 bytes in 'Backups', which I've never used. But my dropbox says I'm using 102.1 gb of my 102 gb and my Storage Space is full. It won't let me upload anything. I deleted everything 6 days ago, I've waited till now as I believe I read somewhere it takes 3 days to clear out cache. Dropbox keeps on trying to convince me to buy more storage space. Why would I do that given the problems I've had, and the fact the company doesn't provide paid support?

Hi @Ed66, how are you today?

Could you let me know what your Backup page reports? Do you have any active backups there?

Also, if you access this link: https://www.dropbox.com/backups/PC do you see any content there? If so, feel free to delete them.

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Hello Megan, I wasn't able to access backups, all I would see is the page I posted, but after I clicked on your 2nd link it took me to a different page and I was able to delete all the files. It won't allow me to delete the 2 folders everything was in but it appears I now have my 102 gb back - thanks for your help!  Capture.JPG

I've got the same issue.  Need help.  I need to use my dropbox and I can't because it says its full. I have nothing in my deleted folder.  Everything is clear. There is nothing in any folders. Why can't I talk directly to a person at dropbox?  Need this cleared up now.  The only option is to delete my account and start a new account I figure.

Hi @Dan 1234567, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Can you please clarify what's shown in your plan tab in regards to your quota?

Also, do you see any files or folders on your backups page or the homepage

I have deleted all files on Dropbox and my cellphone, but continues to show no space with 5gbs shown as being used.  I do have files on my computer, but they total less than 1gb.  Not sure why this is happening, but it is very frustrating.

Hey @Monymgr, can you check your backups page, to see if you have any files there that are taking up your space?

Hi Hannah,

I do not see a Backups page on my desktop version of Dropbox nor on my iPad.  When I hit the files logo on the iPad, nothing comes up and it states the folder is empty.  How do I find the Backups page on either one.

You can find the backups page online, by clicking on the hyperlink I added in my previous response.
