Folder File Sizes

Folder File Sizes

It's 2022. Why doesn't Dropbox allow users to see the file sizes of folders in their main directory? Why hasn't this functionality been added yet? I understand it's likely a ploy to get you to buy more hard drive space on the server but come on, this should be and should have been one of the top features that were added years ago. When can we expect this to be implemented? Manually calculating file size by going into each folder is beyond ridiculous.

Missed it when I first viewed that help article, so here are the steps for anyone looking:

To view the size of a folder on dropbox.com:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Hover over a column header and click the dropdown arrow, then select Size.
  3. Hover over the name of folder and click the check box that appears on the left.
  4. Click "..." (ellipsis) above the file list.
  5. Click Calculate size.
  6. Wait for the size to be calculated. The folder size displays in the Size column next to the folder once the calculation is done.
