Prevent Dropbox from downloading / syncing contents of Dropbox to new PC

Prevent Dropbox from downloading / syncing contents of Dropbox to new PC

I'm setting up a new PC which has less storage space than my old PC. Dropbox will attempt to sync everything from my Dropbox to the new PC. It seems like only AFTER everything is synced from Dropbox to the new PC that I will have to option to specify folders as Online-Only.

1. Is there a way to flag folders as Online-Only AS they begin to download / sync to new PC, or will Dropbox only allow me to specify certain folder(s) as Online-Only until AFTER everything is completely downloaded / synced?

2) What happens when Dropbox attempts to download / sync the entire Dropbox contents to the new PC, considering that the new PC does not have enough storage space for everything in my Dropbox?

3) Is there any way to prevent Dropbox from attempting to sync everything from Dropbox to the new PC before it tries to download / sync everything?

There are options to sync everything as Online-only during the installation. Dropbox will even suggest it if it sees that there's not enough space on the drive.

Thank you for responding. I'll look for that setting. If I do see a way to have everything default to "online only" during installation, I hope It will still put placeholders on my local drive.
