I've also tried all the suggestions in this discussion: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Create-upload-and-share/Desktop-app-is-stuck-at-indexing-for-days/td... and have uninstalled and re-installed the app.
I'm running version 188.4.6302 on Sonoma 14.1.2, MacBook Pro
Yesterday the message was stuck on indexing, no number. Later last night and tonight it says indexing 1480 files, without any change in 24 hours.
No actually the long list of MacBook pros are not currently linked, I read the page wrong. So a total of 3 devices. Should I unlink my current listing of MacBook and then try again?
I am on Basic, Using 7.7 GB of 10.75 GB
Yes, you can try removing the current listing of your MacBook and try again. Let us know of any updates @bb-black

It worked, my new dropbox is syncing. However, the files that were not syncing that were on my laptop (on the non-syncing dropbox) seem to have disappeared. Any suggestions on finding them?
Is the app still syncing or 'up to date' @bb-black?
Do you see any signs of those files in your events page by the way?

yes I do. Do I have to download each file and move it into the new dropbox? Is there a way to copy folders rather than each file? It's been several months now that my files haven't been syncing.
Did you ensure that the desktop app is fully up to date and not still syncing first @bb-black?

You can check the app's status by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar.
