View, download, and export

Hello,
I have a document I created using dropbox. Unfortunately, when I renamed it something went wrong. It is telling me that "Files without extensions cannot be previewed". Is there any way I can open this document. It's very important for my work. Thanks.
Hi @tauhidb0509, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Most likely, when you renamed the file, you removed the file extension at the end of the file.
Depending on the file, you need to add the correct file extension, such as docx, xlsx, jpg, png, pdf, or whatever the original file was.
If you're not sure, you can check the version history of the file to see what it was renamed from.
Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi @tauhidb0509,
Thank you for visiting the Dropbox Community. I hope you are well today. I see that you we're having some difficulties viewing a file and I just wanted to follow up with you today to see if you managed to view it. Judging by what you told us, and the advice my colleague Jay gave you, it sounds like deleted the file extension. This is a really easy mistake to make when renaming files, one which I have made myself on numerous occasions. Thankfully, it's also pretty easy to fix. Please let us know if you have managed to view your file again. Likewise, if you're still experiencing issues with it, just let us know and we will assist you further.
Thanks again, and have a great day!
Graham
