I can login successfully, but needs me to check 6-digit code in email. Before immigration, login dropbox never needs me to check 6-digit code in email. After immigration, it needs me to check 6-digit code in email. (same computer) My email account was disabled (long time no use and I forgot the password), I can't login to my email to check the 6-digit code. I only want to login Dropbox without check email 6-digit code, so what can I do? ThanksSolved62KViews4likes429CommentsReceived a "Complete your DropBox setup" e-mail out of nowhere
I just received a "Complete your DropBox setup" e-mail with instructions for doing just that -- it has the usual checklist in the e-mail and shows step 1 "create a dropbox account" as completed but then shows the next step as "download the desktop and mobile apps". Well, what exactly triggered this e-mail? Because I've been a member already for many, many years, and I already have both the mobile and desktop apps installed and set up on multiple devices. I haven't done anything recently that is out of the ordinary. It's just doing its thing on each of those clients. This worries me that someone has somehow triggered.Solved9.5KViews2likes18CommentsWhat happens to my files when I delete my Dropbox account?

Hello, I have looked at several threads on here and have not found a good answer. I have an old Dropbox account that I lost access to back in the beginning of 2019. I lost access to it because the email associated with it no longer exists. I also know for a fact that any device that was once logged into it also does not exist. Any of those devices would be long gone. There is no way any activity could be associated with the account, however today I went to enter the email and password, and it still proceeded to send the 6 digit code to the email that no longer exists. Is this a thing with inactive accounts where sometimes it will still give you the option to sign in? I’m asking because at this point I just want the files to be deleted on the account, and I am not sure if that would be the case in this situation. I am not interested in gaining access to the account. I’m just concerned about my privacy because I had sensitive documents and personal information on there, and I’m hoping that maybe Dropbox still ended up deleting files, even though the option to sign in is still there. Any advice would be appreciated.Solved7.8KViews0likes35CommentsSign in with Apple ID shows that the account is disabled
Hello, If I try to sign in/continue with Apple id in browser or iOS app. It shows an error > account is disabled. But when I sign in using the same icloud email, there is no any issue. I made a mistake of choosing "Hide my Email" on my first attempt to sign in and it created the new account which I had to delete. After that I can't use the Continue with Apple feature anymore. Please solve the issue. Thanks6.8KViews1like27CommentsCan I restore an account that was deleted?
Hello Dropbox Community! This is my first time using the forum. Nice to meet y'all! I decided to make this post thinking that maybe someone has ever had or heard about an issue like that. 2 Days ago, I was using the trial plan for business plan, and I decided to cancel the free trial plan and switch to the "plus" plan, but somehow, the dropbox team decided that it will a good idea to terminate your account if you cancel that plan, and I have no idea why someone would ever add such a thing on the billing page. I terminated my account, and I lost access to my files because I was looking for a downgrade. For 2 days, I've been trying to connect with the Dropbox team to figure and sort this out, but nothing happened so far. My files contain years of work and legal paperwork, and they seem to not care about that. Does anyone have any idea if I will ever recover my files? I don't really care about the account, but the files are so important to me.Solved6.6KViews0likes27CommentsMy account was deleted after being removed from Business team
A couple weeks ago someone from another company invited me to their Dropbox Business Team. I clicked on the link, but I didn't realize it was going to add me to their group so I contacted Dropbox about this and was told to have the Team Admin follow steps to change my account to a basic account. I sent the Team Admin (person from another company) the instructions and I got an email saying my account was deleted. I am not able to log into my account at all now. I thought this would keep my account but switch it from a Dropbox Business Account to a basic account. Is there a way to get my basic account back? I had a Dropbox Plus account that I was paying for and has a lot of files on it too.
