So it began with a 'FREE' trial for 30 days - I needed one use out of it. Yes my fault, did not write down when to cancel, even got an email saying that I wasn't using Dropbox enough. 3 days after they charged my credit card, I see it on my statement = CA$312.48 I go to cancel. NOT knowing 2 things: When you drop down to BASIC plan, email support, live chat support and phone support aren't supported on the Basic plan. Chatbox is included but it's unhelpful, it takes you around in circles. Now I'm here in Community forums and I'm not sure if anyone with authority is able to help me get my money back. When you cancel your subscription, MOST subscriptions will still allow you to have access to your subscription features until the end of the active billing cycle. NOT THIS ONE. I automatically paid for the year, realized what happened, cancelled my subscription without knowing the first fact and now I'm screwed. Do I need to pay for Dropbox Plus, Professional, Essentials again? To maybe get my money back for the first payment and this second one? Well done corporate entity. Hi, I pre-paid for a year of Dropbox Plus using an email but when I login, it's saying I'm on basic and when I check the credit card transaction, it states "user associated with invoice is disabled; please submit a billing help request" Not sure how to do that since I only have a basic account.27Views0likes3CommentsI can't link a 4th device to my Dropbox account, even though I pay for Plus.
Hello , after searching and searching , talking to a chat bot that gave stupid similair answers , due to lack of an ordinairy support phone number somewhere on the dropbox site to get in contact , I gonna try on this way , maybe they help me : My subscription isn't correct! I pay for PLUS , I got 2 TB of storage , so far so good , but when I want to connect to my 4th Laptop , It says I got a basic subscription and It can only match 3 devices. I must upgrade to PLUS! My account TAB shows also BASIC. .. . .. . .. I paid for PLUS ! And where the hack can I find my invoices ?? How come ??? Hi, This is Thenmozhi Murthi. I have been experiencing a lot issues with both subscribed and unsubscribed versions of dropbox account. For the past 2 years, I had subscribed version of dropbox and experienced the following issues - multiple accounts were created with all my email accounts (2 icloud, 3 gmail) - files uploaded from my ipad or iphone is saving a copy in the device and bloating the device storage space - upload speed is 1/10th (with wired ethernet) of the actual internet speed - Had reported the storage and bandwidth issue to Dropbox support. Shared many screenshots and videos. But no fruitful response. It was total waste of time. - deleting a dropbox account is a nightmare (esp. with icloud email). Tried to delete my dropbox account before deleting one of my icloud account. But ran into error. Finally, i deleted icloud account which was in trouble. - I gave up on the subscription and no longer have a subscribed version of dropbox. For my privacy reasons, I would like to delete my free version of dropbox but again running into error when i tried to delete my account. Hi, Is everyone on a free subscription hassled to upgrade to a much bigger (and obviously, paid) account even when they're barely using it? I have just 3.1GB of 100GB storage in use and yet I've just received an email warning me thus"Your Dropbox is almost full and is close to reaching maximum storage capacity. Once full, your files will stop syncing across devices, which will make it harder to access your files when you need them." In addition, I can't find any way to assess how much storage I am actually using other than to select everything and then download it in a zip file. The zip file was 3.1 GB so it may well be that the actual storage being used is more, but almost 100GB? No way. Curious about the experience of others. I wanted to change my credit card payment but cannot get things to work. I have a basic account and have followed all the help items with NO success. When I go to Settings > Billing there is no payment activity, even though we were billed on 9/28. Not exactly easy to give you updated credit card information, which you MIGHT want.
