Will deactivating my own Dropbox account delete photos from my friend's account too?
A good friend has sent me a link to share her very precious photos, so I opened a Dropbox account. In total they are 4.3gb, too large for a basic free account, but I didn't know this until I had added them to my account. I have now downloaded them all to a hard drive as the free 2gb Dropbox was not big enough. If I delete the photos and close my drop box account will I be deleting the photos on her Dropbox account too? I can't risk doing that!
When sharing a link to a parent folder, does a subfolder inherit the permissions of the parent?
Hi, With a dropbox basic account, does a subfolder inherit the permissions of the parent folder? Suppose I make a folder (Folder A) that anyone can view with a link, but within it (Folder B), I change the permission to "only people invited," will Folder B still inherit Folder A's permissions even if I changed the permissions of Folder B? So can anyone with the link of Folder A see the contents inside Folder B? Thank you so much in advance! Best, John
I cannot disband my team & I'm stuck in a team account
I have problem to disband my current team and cannot convert to individual personal account as there are no options in the billing section of admin console or my account settings. Even though it shows as Basic but currently my account is in a team.
Files added through the desktop app to my new account haven't synced to my phone
just created my Dropbox Basic account for the first time, and Iâm having a little trouble. I uploaded a few files, but I canât seem to sync them across my devices. Iâm using the desktop app on Windows and also the mobile app on Android. The files appear on my desktop, but theyâre not showing up on my phone. Has anyone else faced this with a new Dropbox Basic account? What steps should I take to make sure everything syncs properly? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have several DropBox folders on my desktop computer - Dropbox, Dropbox (Old), Dropbox (Old (1)), Dropbox (Old (2)). I don't know how this happened. I tried deleting some but lost my desktop icons and had to resore them all back to square one! With all these duplicate folders I don't know where my files are being copied to. Hello, I have a basic dropbox account that I never use. However I have a client that made a folder for me to download files. However I am trying to upload folders to his account/folder and it won't let me because it says I don't have enough space.
