I am one member in a dropbox family account. It appears almost anytime anyone in the family logs in, after giving the password, this screen appears. That page only allows for TWO responses: "Next" to create 2FA or "Set up later". You need a THIRD option, "No I do not want 2FA". Dropbox killing us with what are effectively denial of service attacks because inexperienced users are clicking on Next and making problems for future attempts to login. Please, please, please: Dropbox take no for an answer and allows us to turn off those constant prompts. We can still turn on 2FA without the prompt if we decide is appropriate. I am well aware 2FA is in many case, a wise security step.. But not always. I have been a computer scientist for over 55 years and that experience includes numerous credentials and a fair amount of expertise in security. Dropbox, you provide the option to NOT use 2FA, stop making it so difficult to exercie that option. Respect you customer. Hello team, One of our external collaborators started a free trial and invited as on our Family Account email address. After we accept the invitation, we see that we got refunded for the Family Plan and the Collaborator is now admin on all our dropbox content and we lost access to the online dropbox files. How is possible that our account after accepting this invitation got suspended and he become admin on our dropbox? Can someone from support help us here as we and our family members cannot access our files? Account : The One Mind. Quick and Simple business win for happier customers: -create a billable add on feature to the family plan to be able to password protect files, folders, and sharing them like with pro accounts. Other pros accounts does not meet familly personal use (up to 6 users, Vault, shared space) but still need password protection in occasions and I am sure tons of people would be willing to pay for this extra feature. As a photographer is use Dropbox to transmit, store and handle my files. lately when running a search for the word "FIRE", the search function returned multiple pictures from my archive with flames in them. Question 1: has my Photography Archive been subject to Ai image analysis? (which it obviously has been...) - what kind? - by what tools? and most importantly, where did i concent to any of it? (yes i read the 'Legal' page thoroughly) disclaimer: as an event photographer i am involved in all kinds of Private, Open & Deeply personal moments from peoples lives, i have an Etheic Moral and Legal duty to protect my clients, partners, models, childrens & friends privacy, dignity and basic right not to have their likeness and very life be used to feed some data set somewhere withiout their knowlege and concent. i use Generative Ai tools as part of my personal and professional creative research, i see the potential, but am also aware of the possible implications. Question 2: has my Phototography Archive (my body of work) been compromised, sold, copied or in any other way transfered to any third party without my concent? i think you get where im going with this.... am i doomed to have my stuff be fed to the Ai data machine by simply having it on the internet? i am only asking because i am already extremely doubtfull of my future as an Artist and Creative Professional. i love Dropbox a lot and use it all the time and recommend it to everyone, i really hope i don't soon grow to regret it... would love to hear your thoughts. ~T187.Solved2.9KViews1like4CommentsI can't reset my password, I don't receive email.
Hello I have to log in and cancel my family plan, but I can't log in to my account because I can't find my password. There are only 3 days left to renew my family plan. I added a dropbox email to my address book, but I couldn't get the email. I keep repeating this process, but I couldn't get the email. Upgraded to Dropbox Family Plan and sent an invite but when the person i invited tries to join they get an error message stating there was an error but not to worry their info was saved to a 2 GB account. I removed them from the family plan and re-sent the invite, and they had the same results. I removed them again and sent the copied link with the same results. Please help. Hi, I have a Dropbox Family subscription and now I want to add somebody from the family to it. When I go to "Family" in the settings, I am able to select the person and add her to the Family. However, she already had an existing free account. Unfortunately, after adding her to the family, she does not participate to the much better Family plan. She stays on the free basic account, thus is not able to access all the data. Hi, I just changed my subscription to the Family Plan. I have invited family members by email through the Settings/Family tab under my account but no one in my family is getting the invitation using this option? Hi community 🙂 I started using Family Room some months ago and it was just right. 2-3 people were invited, by me, joined, and are sharing the files. Today I tried to invite another person I used the same blue *Invite Members* button. What I got is a note saying this: "You do not have access to perform this operation" Very odd.
