56 TopicsThe new Dropbox Paper UI doesn't allow me to adjust the navigation column
So I use Dropbox paper EXTENSIVELY and the new upgrade is not working my way. I get that the Paper is now a part of the file system. I can browse the folder using a file exporer and double clicking will open the website. That way does not work for me. If I go to paper.dropbox.com my documents are almost (99,9% gone) gone and all of my folder structure is completely gone. There is one single document. If I click on that I see the document and a sidebar that contains my folders (along with the rest of dropbox - which is annoying, but apparantly the new way). What is REALLY annoying is that everytime I click on a document, the sidebare reposition content, and I can't see the real location without using the scroll bars. And I can't resize the the sidebar. This view is completely useless. I can't click through document because of this reloading and repositioning. And I am not mentioning the fact that it is also slow, because of the way it loads the documents and loads folder structures lazy. Is my Paper profile broken? Or is this the way it is supposed to work? Hi - I have a Fairphone 5 on Android 14 and I recently went to install Dropbox Paper, but the Play Store says that the app was made for an older version of Android and thus am unable to download it. I have tried joining the beta program to see if that changed things, but it did not. Is this a known issue? Is Dropbox releasing an update soon? For the DropBox Paper App I need adjustable font size for viewing the document: In the overall App settings I'd like to set a default font size for all documents, that size shall be applied after loading the document When viewing the document I'd like to quickly resize the text. I want to have two separate options for resizing: First I'd like to zoom in and out the whole document like I would zoom into a picture (the word wrapping would NOT change). I've been a long-time user of Paper. I still use it for work. I loved it the first time I tried it. However, the lack of support has hindered this product's potential. Zoom released Zoom Docs today. It is what Paper should and could have been. A preliminary review shows a very powerful platform in its first version (Link). Since late May 2024, I’ve been unable to access my Dropbox PAPER account from my laptop (a MacBook Pro), though I can read and edit from my iPad and iPhone. But on my laptop I get a message (see screenshot below) saying that I’ve signed out and must sign back in. I requested help from Google (see below), thinking it was a login/password issue. I wrote: “When I try to launch PAPER to continue work on a document, I get a message that I've SIGNED OUT and must SIGN BACK IN. But when I try to sign in again, I get another message saying there have been TOO MANY REDIRECTS, and that I need to CLEAR COOKIES and/or my Browser Cache. I cleared some cookies, and I had already cleared my Browser Cache 3 days ago, on Sun 5/26. I am following instructions but my problem is not being solved. PLEASE HELP!” Their response was to tell me that question has been posted to the “Google Chrome Community”. and most questions get a reply within 24 hours. I’d get an email notification when that happened, I was told . BUT I NEVER GOT ANYTHING. This happened 3 months ago in late May 2024— today, I just tried again to access my PAPER account and the same thing happened, with the same message . Note, I had already cleared my cookies on May 26 (3 days before the problem arose), so I really don’t think that is the issue. Please can you help me with this issue? maralina PS: I use the free version (DROPBOX Basic) — signed up for Dropbox on 11/20/13. And I set up my PAPER account on 6/19/18. The total space on my free version of Dropbox is 5.75 GB. Dark Mode suddenly (this week) no longer works (Mac OS Desktop App across 2 machines, mac ventura and mac monterey). Left sidebar with list is dark. Writing / Note area is white. ("on", "off", "auto" settings have no effect ... it's always white bg). Blocks which used to show tools are now just black bars in the app - I can click them but the tool icons are no longer visible. I've written Dropbox support and received a ticket number and response which was entirely irrelevant. (they told me to "use a different browser" ... except that I'm not using a browser, I'm using the desktop app.) Any help appreciated.785Views2likes1Comment
