I basically got Dropbox in order to move my enormous collection of pictures and videos from my iPhone to somewhere else...The transfer went fine for a while, but then it has stopped and I keep seeing a message saying "waiting to upload". I have quit the application and relaunched, which does nothing. I have even upgraded Dropbox, as I suspect I will need the extra space... There is still over 400 pictures which are "waiting to upload" plus a few videos. And did I mention I started this process 13th of December...?Solved38KViews0likes37CommentsScan Document feature freezes on "Waiting to Upload"
Howdy all, I keep getting a glitch when attempting to create a document through the Dropbox "Scan Document" feature. I can scan the document, make adjustments, etc, but once I hit "Save" it gets stuck with the message 'Waiting to Upload". I've been working on this for about an hour, attempted about a dozen scans. Sometimes the blue progress bar appears, moves to the right, then goes back to the message "Wating to Upload". Sometimes it will cycle through this a few times, sometimes it just stays on the "Waiting to Upload" mesage. It also gets stuck if I hit the "Save as Scan" button on a photo from the Camera Uploads folder. I'm only using 12.9% of a 2 TB account, and Dropbox is updated to the newest version. I'm using an iPhone 8 Plus with iOS 11.2.5. I have about 180GB avialble space on my iPhone. I can upload documents to Dropbox from other apps on my iPhone, they sync just fine. Camera Uploads is turned On, and syncing photos and videos just fine. I've tried the following: tried to save one page scans, 5 page scans, custom names, default name, small and large file size settings waited for 20+minutes on upload tried to save to different folders turned wi-fi off and on again on phone restarted Dropbox, restarted the phone Any solutions out there?Solved15KViews0likes34CommentsSwann Security Systems & Dropbox
Hi ALL After purchasing a complete Security System from Swann, part of the setup process recommended I open a Dropbox account to add a Cloud Upload feature for backup purposes etc. After the installation was complete, I followed their suggestion and signed up initially with the Free 2 GB Option. I have had no issues at all until now - starting with Syncing issues with Dropbox, as of the 10th of this month (Sept 2020) No Pictures or Video have been uploaded to my Dropbox account. I have tried a few suggested fixes in the Dropbox Community without any success. What I have noticed is that part of the Free Service, I am entitled to 3 Devices, yet when I look at my Mobile Dropbox App > Manage devices, I only have 2 listed: 1. Android Phone & 2. My PC as it states in the above text "You Can Only Have 3 linked Devices" at the bottom of the page there are 2 options UNLINK or Link More Devices with Plus. Could I please have some assistance in resolving this issue - any help would be much appreciated.Solved14KViews0likes3Commentssharing files - they stop playing after one hour
I regularly share my video ZOOM files with my clients , most of which are 1 to 1 hour and 30 minutes in length. Several of them have complained that the recordings stop after the one hour mark, so they are unable to access the rest of the recording. I am on the personal plus plan. What is the issue? Do I need to upgrade to a different plan or is it an issue on their end? Thank you!13KViews1like11CommentsFolder upload fails on Dropbox.com
Hi, I just started with Dropbox Plus. I tried to upload large folders to Dropbox, which took quite a long time (sometimes about 2 days for some of the folders). When the uploading was finished, I got reports mentioning that large amounts of files could not be uploaded (180, 450 files...)!! Can I resume the uploading of the missing files only? or do I have to remove the whole folder from Dropbox and start uploading again? (with the risk that some files will be missing once more). BTW, I did not see any Zip folders being uploaded to Dropbox as it's been mentioned in some of the tutorials. Thanks for the help!Solved12KViews0likes28CommentsIs there a way to see who viewed my shared folder?
Hello Dropbox Community, I'm currently exploring the features available for shared folders and links within Dropbox. I'm curious if there's a way to track who has accessed a folder I've shared or viewed its contents. Specifically, I'd like to know if there's a method to see a log of users who have interacted with 1) a shared folder or 2) its files, including details such as when they accessed it. I've checked the sharing settings and link options within Dropbox, but I couldn't find a straightforward way to access this information. Could someone kindly advise if Dropbox offers any built-in features or if there are third-party integrations available that enable tracking of shared folder access? Any insights or guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! Iâm afraid weâre are migrating away from Dropbox, however whilst doing so we have noticed the following issueâŠ. (Windows 11 â Latest Dropbox Version). Hence we though this may be useful. Most of our 2TB files are stored as âOnlineâ only using Selective Sync. We then change the file status to âAvailable offlineâ so Dropbox copies(syncâs) the files back to the local disk from Dropbox.com. After some time (several hours) the Dropbox app confirms that all files are syncâd and the Dropbox task bar icon also indicates a complete/no activity status. The PC is rebooted and Dropbox is then uninstalled When trying to view via the PC the now syncâd Zip, Jpeg, Docx some of the files are corrupted/wonât open. As a test using Dropbox.com we manually download a problem file using MS Edge and the files will open correctly. It would seem that the Windows Dropbox client indicates it has finished its jobs even through it hasnât fully completed syncing ⊠We've also noticed that the corrupted file vs good file byte size are the same. We could duplicate this fault. Any thoughts ?7.8KViews0likes18CommentsIssues with Camera Upload
Iâve been having issues with my Camera Upload feature in my IOS Dropbox App. Usually when I open the app on my iPhone X, Dropbox will start locating the photos that it hasnât uploaded yet and start uploading them. Now, it just reads âStarting camera uploadsâŠ.Looking for photosâ but nothing ever happens. Iâve tried closing/re-opening the app, deleting the app/re-installing, updating my IOS, deleting other photo cloud apps (Google Photos), and even upgrading to Dropbox Plus. None of these attempts have help solve my problem. Does anyone have any advice?7.6KViews4likes45CommentsCan I share a subfolder of a shared folder to other users?
I'm trying to create a folder with 10 sub folders. A group of people all need access to the main folder and then each sub folder needs to be accessed by the main group plus an additional 2 people but I don't want the addtional 2 to see the main folder. When I try to add new people to the sub folder it says I can't because it can only be shared by a link. Why is that and how does it work? Many thanks7.3KViews0likes4Comments
